Meet the Prophets: The Men and Their Message

Above all, you know this: No prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Bible is full of prophets but not all predicted the future, some of them proclaimed the word of God to their generation; some of them wrote it down and others were oral. This is a chronological study of prophets of when they appeared in history.

Moses: Designed for Deliverance

MOSES: The friend of God. The Bible makes this remarkable statement about Moses, “The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.” (Exodus 33:11)

Moses’ story is the continuation of the story began by Jacob and Joseph.  Joseph started out as a shepherd and ended up in the palace of Egypt. Moses started out in the palace of Egypt and ended up as a shepherd. First, he shepherded dumb sheep in an obscure region from age 40 to 80. Then from age 80 until he died at age 120, he shepherded another flock of dumb sheep—the Israelites. This is the story of the man God used to deliver a nation from bondage to the Promised Land. It is also our story of how God takes us from the bondage of sin (Egypt) and brings us into the Spirit -filled life, a land flowing with spiritual milk and honey.

Who’s Who in the Book of Genesis

The book of Genesis doesn’t focus on HOW God created the heavens and the earth; it focuses on WHY God created the universe. He created everything so that He could have a personal relationship with people. Genesis is the story of how God had a PERFECT relationship with Adam and Eve, and how SIN ruined that relationship.  “Who’s Who in the Book of Genesis” is the story of how sinful men and women can still have a personal relationship with their Creator.
